Three Generations of Klang Valley Tailoring
One Tailor is led by James Wong, a third-generation master tailor who trained on Savile Row before returning home to Petaling Jaya. Alongside senior cutter Ahmad Faisal and finishing specialist Carmen Lee, the team has built a reputation across the Klang Valley for exceptional craftsmanship and personal service.

From Pattern to Final Fitting
Consultation
A complimentary meeting to discuss your style, needs, and select fabrics. We'll take preliminary measurements and answer all your questions.
30 minutes
Pattern & Cut
James drafts a unique paper pattern for your body, then cuts the fabric by hand. This is the foundation of true bespoke tailoring.
1-2 weeks
First Fitting
Try on the basted garment. We'll adjust the fit, discuss details, and ensure everything is progressing to your satisfaction.
Week 2-3
Completion
Final fitting and any last adjustments. Your garment is pressed, finished, and ready to wear with confidence.

What is the difference between true bespoke and made-to-measure?
True bespoke begins with a fresh paper pattern hand-drafted from scratch for your exact posture, shoulder slope, and gait. Made-to-measure simply tweaks a stock pattern. At One Tailor, every suit is built the bespoke way, with full-canvas hand-stitched interiors rather than fused linings.
How long does a bespoke suit take to complete?
Plan for roughly 6 to 8 weeks from your first sit-down to final delivery. That includes pattern drafting, basted fitting, forward fitting, and the slow hand-finishing that defines a proper canvas-built jacket. Wedding parties in Petaling Jaya should book at least four months ahead.
What happens at the first consultation?
The first 30-minute consultation is complimentary and unhurried. We talk through how you intend to wear the garment, walk you through fabrics from Scabal, Dormeuil, and Holland & Sherry, and take preliminary measurements. There is no pressure to commit on the day.
How long do alterations usually take?
Most alterations are ready within 1 to 2 weeks. Rush turnaround is available for last-minute weddings or important meetings around Mutiara Damansara and Bandar Utama. Carmen will give you an honest timeline at your fitting.
Do you dress grooms and groomsmen for weddings?
Yes. We regularly outfit grooms and groomsmen for grand weddings at Le Méridien PJ, One World Hotel, and other Klang Valley venues. Daniel coordinates the styling while Ahmad handles the cutting, so the whole party arrives looking cohesive.
